Design & 3D Print Peppa Pig in Fusion 360
Here's a video where I go into the Sculpting environment in Fusion 360 to model Peppa Pig. I began by bringing an image of Peppa as an attached canvas and used the image to sculpt around. This is really the best way to starting using the Sculpting environment. It will take a bit of practice to get comfortable using the sculpting tools as it requires an entirely different mindset compared to working within the modeling environment. However, once you get used to editing t-splines, they become a very powerful tool as it allows you to tackle these type of organic shapes. One of the many reasons I love working with Fusion 360 so much is this ability to go back and forth within these two environments.
After 3D printing I do a bitof post processing which involve sanding to try and smooth those layer lines. I then apply a couple coats of filler primer, do some more sanding, and then apply some acrylic paint.
I'm very pleased with the final result and my nephew loved his gift. You can download the stl file here.
