About the event

Learn how to build a simple RC car using understandable parts with a microcontroller control system - add in a camera and sit inside the car with first-person-view driving from your laptop or smartphone. This course will cover how the components such as driving DC motors from logic work, basic microcontroller programming in an arduino like (ESP32) environment, and you'll assemble your own car made from makerspace handy parts and 3d printers - design your own car body afterwards! No prior skills will be necessary, but please bring a laptop with the Arduino IDE preinstalled, available at https://www.arduino.cc/en/software for free.  Course fee includes RC car kit, $30 value (that you get to keep), and no soldering will be required.   Must be 16+ to attend.  Workshop dates: Oct 11, Oct 18, Oct 25, 6PM - 8PM
